We leveraged their excess inventory available banquet room dates and empty tablesto take advantage of lost revenue. We set them up to accept the Saturn Card and started sending in our clients, all business owners, to the existing restaurant. This increased business wasn’t moving fast enough to cover their growing construction costs, so we started buying gift certificates in bulk.
Results
Using our distribution channels we were able to drive over $100,000 in business their way. They used these increased sales toward their $899,000 construction costs.

We developed a multi-platform sales campaign using targeted phone call campaigns to book higher ticket items, such as suites and party decks. Using our website and mobile app we promoted group tickets and suites.
Results
Overall we increased corporate sales by over $10,000 and they were able to leverage their trade dollars to increase their event rental capabilities. By purchasing things like staging, bounce houses, face painters, zip lines, A/V equipment and more with barter they are now able to add more value for all their customers.

Kent is the president and owner of Saturn Barter Company. Using his 20+ years of experience in sales, Kent is the driving force behind Saturn Barter. As a respected board member of the International Reciprocal Trade Association (IRTA), Kent opens Saturn Barter members to the world of global trade. Kent enjoys spending time with his wife, Christa, and his five children.

Office Manager / Travel Broker
Michelle joined Saturn Barter at its beginning in 2009. Besides managing the office, she is also Saturn’s exclusive travel broker. Michelle became a Certified Trade Broker at the 2015 NATE Convention in Las Vegas. Michelle has been awarded the Saturn Award for her ongoing commitment and dedicated service to the company, the IRTA National Broker of the Year Award, and the IRTA Dedicated Service Award. Michelle enjoys spending time with my husband, children, grandchildren, and traveling. Next on her vacation list is touring Southern Europe.
Cathrine
Trade Broker
Cathrine (or Cat) was the first broker hired at Saturn Barter in 2010. She brings 20+ years in sales experience and earned Broker of the Year for both 2012 and 2013. Married with one young daughter, the family enjoys boat fishing, home improvement projects, a beautiful garden of 3,000 tulips, and exploring the PNW together. Cat’s future ambitions include earning her private pilot’s license, traveling to each continent, and continuing to live life to the fullest.

Certified Trade Broker
Ryan joined Saturn Barter Company in 2015 and continues to consistently meet and exceed sales goals. As a broker, Ryan uses his experience, Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Sociology, and his dedication to his Saturn clients to help grow and amplify businesses in the Pacific Northwest. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends.
